Lavanda is hidden in the serene Rhodope mountains of Southern Bulgaria, in the architecturally significant village of Kovatchevitsa. It is a place where time stops and the spirit rejuvenates through the simple joys of the crisp air, the peaceful pace of village life, the hearty food and the warmth of smiling people and homey surroundings. Lavanda, with it’s three comfortable and cozy rooms, was established in 2011 and we are proud that we have sustainable family business.

In 2023 we launched new restaurant that is available not only for the guests of the house. Lavanda Restaurant with Rooms is our mission to continue creating memorable and quality countryside experience. Lavanda is perfect escape only a couple of hours from major cities, yet millennia away from the fast pace of urban life. Come join us for a few days and we guarantee you will leave in heightened spirits and wider smile!

Sunflower room allows early risers to enjoy the morning sunlight. The room offers unique views of the village with its cascading stone roofs and snow white facades. The balcony in front of the room is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee or sip your evening drink.

Sunflower room has folding sofa bed comfortable for one or two small children. The bathroom is equipped with environment friendly “Duck Island” bath products and luxurious towels. The king size bed is equipped with fine linen and exclusive MemoryFoam mattress.

Lavender room is spacious double room with no possibility for extra bed. The bathroom is equipped with environment friendly “Duck Island” bath products and luxurious towels. The king size bed is equipped with fine linen and exclusive MemoryFoam mattress.

Lavender room offers an expansive view over the rocky canyon of Kanina river. The inviting bed in this room will transfer you to a fine and peaceful lavender world, surrounded by the silence of the mountain. For reading or for afternoon nap, Lavender offers a charming seating area by the windows.

Walnut room is a cozy double bedroom, not suitable for families with children. Featuring wood paneling that creates a secluded atmosphere and coziness. The room basks in sunlight throughout the day and offers beautiful views of the mountain and river gorge. This room has particular charm and romantic feel.

What people say about us

Lavanda is an incredible bed and breakfast in the hills. This was far and away the best place we stayed during our time in Bulgaria and is one of the loveliest places we have stayed in anywhere. Everything is done perfectly and the hosts are beyond fantastic. The home cooked 4 course dinner was extremely good as was the breakfast. Small boutique hotel with 5 star service in the middle of nowhere in Bulgaria? Yessss! This is the place! My husband and I had a great time there, the owners were very sweet and nice to us. They served very tasty homemade breakfast and dinner every day! The house itself is beautiful, peaceful and authentic. Can’t wait to go back again next year! It’s a definitely a place to stay in the area!

Lavanda Restaurant is cozy authentic ambiance and hearty comfort food. For our cooking we use fresh herbs and vegetables from our garden, as well as organic products from small local producers. We love to cook and experiment with different styles and cuisines, so with us expect the unexpected.

We prepare daily seasonal menu with its heart in fresh, local produce. The restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner with advance reservations. For lunch we serve few options for light lunch.
